Becoming: A Journey Through Change for Girls and Boys (Delivered to Parents of Boys and Girls ages 9-12)

and growing up. We’ll share practical ways to have these conversations at home,
so you can support your child with confidence and care.

Before You Sign Up
This workshop is most suitable for girls who are beginning to notice
changes in their bodies, asking questions about puberty, periods,
or growing up, or feeling curious about what lies ahead.
- Her body has started changing, or you’ve noticed early signs.
- She’s asking questions about periods, her body, or growing up.
- She’s curious or slightly nervous about upcoming changes.
- Girls around her are going through similar experiences.
If your daughter isn’t quite there yet, that’s completely okay.
Amana runs this workshop regularly, and there will be a right time
for her to join.
What Happens in the Workshop
Over 90 minutes, girls explore puberty, the monthly cycle, emotions,
hygiene, confidence, and body respect through gentle discussions
and hands-on activities.
The workshop uses real science, age-appropriate language, and everyday
examples girls can relate to. Nothing graphic, frightening,
or overwhelming is included.

We keep the workshop modest and age-appropriate throughout.
We do not cover sexual content, relationships, or topics beyond
helping girls understand their own bodies, feelings, and development.
