Trauma-Informed ABA

Overview

Children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and intellectual or developmental disabilities are more vulnerable to adverse and stressful experiences. However, trauma in this population often manifests in the form of behavior or challenging behavior.

This professional program equips Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) practitioners with trauma-informed and culturally responsive principles that promote emotional regulation, preserve dignity, and prevent re-traumatization, without abandoning the foundations of behavioral science and its values within Arab contexts.

Participants will learn how to integrate trauma awareness into assessment, intervention, data collection, and collaboration with caregivers in ways that align with family systems.
